Annie Belle "Ann" Winters Arnett

Mrs. Annie Belle "Ann" Arnett, 85, 195 Buck Creek Road, Roan Mountain, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following an extended illness.

Mrs. Arnett was a native of Carter County and was the daughter of the late Carter and Julia Oaks Winters.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Arnett was a member of Lower Shell Creek Christian Church in Roan Mountain. She was retired from Bemberg Corporation and also from Norris Industries. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and loved to garden.

Mrs. Arnett is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanie and Jerry Blevins, Roan Mountain; Debbie and Gary Dugger, Roan Mountain; a son, Ricky Arnett, Roan Mountain; six grandchildren, Lori Kaldy and husband, Paul, Elizabethton; Michael Jones and wife, Kristy, Morganton, NC; Tabetha Lusk and husband, Jimmy, Roan Mountain; Jamie Jones and wife Sarah, Roan Mountain; Shannon Arnett and wife, Courtney, Morristown, TN; Matthew Arnett and wife, Barbara, Roan Mountain; nine great-grandchildren; a special niece, Kathy Elliott, Roan Mountain; a special friend, Mildred and her special pets, Blackie, Little Bit, Elsie and Pug. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Interment will follow at Johnson Cemetery in the Crabtree Community.
