Dodge City -- George P. Bittel, 80, died Aug. 28, 1984 at Humana Hospital, Dodge City. Born Sept. 1, 1903 at Munjor, he was a retired meat cutter and had lived in Dodge City since 1943. He was a member of Sacred Heart Cathedral, Dodge City.

Survivors: daughter, Mrs. D. R. "Darlene" Hutchinson, Texas City, Texas; brother, Isidore, Hays; sister, Christina Goetz, Hays; six grandchildren. Rosary will be at 8 p.m. Friday at Brock's North Hill Chapel, Hays.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays. Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery.
