He was a native of Savannah but had resided most of his life in Waycross. He was the owner of Bailey Monument and Vault Company.
Survivors include his wife Nancy S. Rozier-Bailey of Darien; five daughters, Lizabeth Bailey Wilson (husband Dean) of Roswell, Susan Bailey Brooker Hereford (husband Warren Lott Hereford, III) of Waycross, Annette Bailey Lane (husband James W.) of Daleville, VA, Mary Bailey Hawthorne (husband Keith) of Valdosta, Martha Carol Bailey, MD of Avondale Estates; ten grandchildren; and a sister, Jean Bailey Brazelle of Buford, GA.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday (September 8, 2008) at Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Sunday from 5 until 7.
