Son of Henry W. Blood and Sarah "Sadie" Priese
In 1900 he lived in Manchester, New Hampshire, with his paternal grandmother and her second husband, Peter Parker. It appears that his own parents separated or divorced during this time period and, after his father died in 1907, Montrose became the "adopted son," of Peter Parker and wife Rosella Mace (Blood) Parker. Montrose was, however, always called by his surname of Blood. His adoptive father, Peter Parker, worked as a butcher.
In 1910 he lived in Manchester with his adoptive parents. His adoptive father worked in a slaughterhouse.
He married Martha Jane Sutcliffe on 9 Oct 1921 in Lexington, Massachusetts. Their marriage record calls him a plumber's helper.
In 1930 he lived in Manchester with his wife and his widowed adoptive father, Peter Parker. He was a plumber.
In 1940 and 1950, he and his wife lived alone in Manchester.
He died in Elliot Hospital, Manchester, of heart failure at the age of 59.
