David Jacob Pit(t)man, husband of Harriet Isadore Mauck, son of James and Mary Sarah Deen Pittman, grandson of David and Catherine Eddleman Pittman, great-grandson of John and Elizabeth Mauck Pittman. David Pittman was born in Harrison County, Indiana. Father of of Harriette G and Samuel O Pit(t)man, also buried in same family plot at Oak Hill.

The spelling of the family surname (Pittman vs. Pitman) varies from one individual to another among the descendants of Nicholas and Catherine Pittman. James apparently favored "Pitman" even though his father David favored "Pittman".
