Viewing for family and friends runs from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at Burns Mortuary of Hermiston. Graveside funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the Hermiston Cemetery.
Ed was born May 22, 1936, to James Earl and Tina Inez (Keeney) Sharp in Portland. Ed spent many years as a ranch hand in Grant County and in Idaho. He retired as a field mechanic from the Hermiston J.R. Simplot Company in 1995. Ed was an avid hunter, a horse enthusiast and animal lover.
He is survived by his wife, Glenna M. Sharp of La Grande; sons, Clinton Sharp of Meacham, Glen Sharp of Pendleton and Matthew Sharp of Hermiston; daughters, Janet Tull of Meacham and Lorie Sharp of Hermiston; step-sons, Dale Clapper of Pilot Rock and Matthew Clapper of Coeur D'Alene, Idaho; sisters, Mary Allen of John Day and Edna Sheets of Canyon City; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Tina Sharp; and daughter, Donna Sharp.
