She was born June 14, 1907, on the family farm in Pike Township, the daughter of Henry and Mary Stalter Stalter. She married Homer Springer on Sept. 15, 1931, on the farm in Pike Township. He died Jan. 11, 1997.
Surviving are two daughters, Ruth Ann (Rick) Rogers, Denver, Colo.; and Joyce S. (David) Shafer, Galesburg; two grandsons, Douglas (Staci) Shafer and Brian (Lila) Shafer; and four great-grandchildren, Kayla Shafer, Kamrin Shafer, Colton Shafer and Tyler Shafer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Wilma; one brother, and three sisters.
Ada was a member of Prairieview Mennonite Church.
She and her husband were lifelong farmers in the Meadows area.
Ada was known for her cooking, family dinners and her quilting. She was a loving Mom and Grandma who enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
