William F. Milam, 78, of Vineland passed away suddenly Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008.

Born in Evansville, Ind., he lived in Williamstown and Washington Township before moving to Vineland in 1989.

Inc., Army veteran of the Korean War, elected and received 33rd degree of Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, board of trustees and chairman of Cumberland County College, trustee of South Vineland United Methodist Church, board of managers of Ranch Hope for Boys, director of Cumberland Cape Atlantic YMCA, director of Cumberland County College Foundation, chairman and trustee of Presbyterian Homes of N.J. Foundation, president of board of trustees Masonic Charity Foundation of N.J., trustee of Masonic Home & Charity Foundation of N.J., president of Free Public Library of Williamstown, president of Board of Education of Williamstown, committeeman of township of Monroe, mayor of township of Monroe, freeholder of county of Gloucester, treasurer of township of Monroe, U.S. Army disbursing and audit specialist, life member of American Legion and VFW, member and worshipful master of Forest Grove Lodge No. 91 F.&A.M. He was the beloved husband of Mary Josephine Milam (Talbott) for 57 years; the devoted father of Dan Milam (Kathy), Michael Milam (Denise), Mary Sue Gaffney (Michael), Sandra Lee Dandrea (Ronald), Matthew W. Milam (Karen) and Timothy F. Milam (Stacy); the dear brother of Patricia Hardin (James), Richard Milam, the late Beverly Scott and the late Deon Aul; the loving grandfather of Traci, Dan, Jason, Joseph, Katherine, Christopher, Scott, Trevor, Deanna, Adam, Ali, Marissa, Melanie, Timothy, Rachael and Franklin; and the loving great-grandfather of 10.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Gloucester County Community Church, 359 Chapel Heights Road, Washington Township, where a service will follow at 10 a.m.

Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
