BLACKWELL β€” Rose Marie Stites Sutton, resident of Blackwell, died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008, in OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. She was 59.

A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, in Billings Union Cemetery in Billings with the Rev. Kevin Bookout officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Blackwell Funeral Home.

Rose was born Jan. 14, 1949, in Stillwater, the daughter of Thelma King and Loyd S. Stites. She grew up in Stillwater and later moved with her family to Colorado, moving back to Oklahoma at the age of nine.

She attended school in the Ponca City area.

She married Nonnie W. Rowe Sr. She later married Jess Sutton on Feb. 21, 1986, in Miami, Okla., residing in Blackwell.

She worked many years in home health care. She was also a welder/machinist at Air Systems Components formerly known as Titus.

She attended the First Free Will Baptist Church in Blackwell.

Rose enjoyed gardening, crafts, her family and OU football and Nascar.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, NW "Dub" Rowe, and granddaughter.

Survivors include her mother of Ponca City; husband of the home; sons, Nonnie W. Rowe Jr. of Braman and Jeffrey Rowe of Ponca City; daughters, Tina Dold of Ponca City and Delta Sprueill of Braman; stepdaughters, Michelle Westbrook-Xaviar of Las Vegas, Nev., Tisha Sutton of Yukon and Wanda Covington of Idaho; stepson Randy Garrison of Weatherford, Texas; sisters, Shirley Wallace of Ardmore, Mary Stites of Tulsa, Wanda Daughtry of Newkirk and Lorena Stites of Tulsa; brother, Loyd D. Stites of Ponca City; 17 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial may be made to American Cancer Society or National Kidney Foundation in care of the Blackwell Funeral Home, 301 West Blackwell, Blackwell, Okla. 74631.
