Christian Taylor Ward, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2007.

Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. Matthew 19:14.

Christian was a bright ray of light in this world. He was diagnosed at ten months old with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), the leading genetic killer of children under two.

He drove a power wheel chair since the time he was 16 months old and was nothing short of a genius. He was amazing, vibrant and loved learning. His favorite things to learn about were sea life, bugs, snakes and dinosaurs. Christian loved playing with his friends and attended Enterprise Elementary. He was such a fun and enthusiastic child to be around.

Christian lived with his mommy, Ashley Bruton Ward and his Grammy and Grampy, Paige and Gary Leslie. He was also survived by his paternal grandma and grandpa, Marilyn and Randy Ward of SC and his daddy, Jonathan Ward.

Christian knew where he was going and had no fears of entering heaven. He was excited about all that he might see there someday.

We are all so thankful to have shared his short journey with him. He touched so many lives and so those who wish to celebrate his journey are wel come to come on Friday night, April 20th, to Indian River City United Methodist Church, 1355 Cheney Hwy., Titusville. The viewing will be from 6-7 p.m. and the service will be from 7-8 p.m. It is requested that you bring a note or letter of how Christian touched your life.

Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Fathers house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going...I am the way and the truth and the life. John 14:1-6
