Maxcine Hammond Weaver, 68 years of age, departed this life Monday morning, September 1st, 2008 at Beech Tree Manor in Jellico, Tennessee.
She was born on February 8th, 1940 in the Kidder community of Wayne County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Everett Olen Hammond and Myrtie Keith Hammond. Maxcine was a beautician and owner of Maxcine's Hair Design of Somerset for many years and was a member of the New Salem Baptist Church.
Maxcine was survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Joe Weaver; three sisters, Kathleen Hammond, Dora Riggs, and Barbara (and John) Emerson; three brothers, Bobby (and Christeen) Hammond, Gale (and Judy) Hammond, and Michael (and Sue) Hammond; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett Olen Hammond, who departed this life on June 16th, 1989 and Myrtie Hammond, who departed this life on December 29th, 1993.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 4th, 2008 in the Chapel of the Hickey and Son Funeral Home with Bro. James Simpson and Bro. Greg Haynes officiating.
Burial followed in the Elk Spring Cemetery in Monticello, Kentucky.
