Bernard C. Szymanski Age 88, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2003 in the Franciscan Care Center. Mr. Szymanski was an electrician for 30 years with Atlantic Aviation, Corp. He retired in 1982. He also was a WWII veteran serving in the Air Force. He was a member of the Pulaski Legion and the Claymore Senior Center. Mr. Szymanski was a loving husband, a devoted father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Anne M. (Rakowski), of 56 years; son Bernard J. Szymanski, of Wilmington; daughter Carol Bocchini, of Wilmington and Joyce Szymanski, of Weston, FL; 6 grandchildren, Laura, Blaine, Dale, Joleen, Alex and Katie; and 1 great grandson, Rocco; and sisters, Elizabeth Pass, of Staunton, IL and Irene Zaborowski, of Wilmington. A mass will be offered on Wednesday morning, August 13, in St. Elizabeth's Church, Cedar and South Clayton St., at 10:30 am. Burial will be in Cathedral Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday morning after 8:30 at the JOHN F. YASIK FUNERAL HOME, 607 S. Harrison St. In lieu of flowers, family requests contributions be made to either: St. Elizabeth's Church, 809 S. Broom St., Wilm., DE 19805 or The Claymore Senior Center, 504 S.
