Shirley Ann Coleman, 71, Camby, IN, lost her battle with cancer on September 2, 2008. She was born on June 14, 1937 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Louis F. Jones and Elsie L. (Toney) Jones.
Shirley graduated from Decatur Central High School. Before retiring in 1995, she was a Transfer Deputy in Assessor's Office for Decatur Township for 27 years. Previously, she was a Clerk for the Marion County License Branch and Marion County Recorder's Office. Shirley was a 30 year member of the Decatur Township Republican Club, member of the Indiana Chapter of Assessor's Association and United Way Volunteer through Decatur Township Assessor's Office of Marion County for 25 years.
Visitation will be from 4-8pm on Thursday, September 4, 2008 and from 9-10am, Friday, September 5, 2008 at Jones Crossing Banquet and Event Center, next door to Jones Family Mortuary. The funeral service will be at 10am on Friday, September 5, 2008 at Jones Crossing Banquet and Event Center. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Shirley was preceded in death by a Son, Douglas L. Coleman and a Brother,Charles F. Jones.
