Services for Guy Curry, 86, of Tyler, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2008, at Lloyd James Funeral chapel with the Rev. Park Robinson officiating.

Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home, Tyler.

Mr. Curry passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2008, at his residence.

He was born on March 5, 1922, in Lindale to the late Artis Lewis and Lovie Beatrice McDowell Curry. He was retired from Kelly Springfield after 21 years of service in production and also worked as an oil field worker and for Tyler Sheet Metal. He was a member of Noonday Baptist Church and a former deacon.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, C. W. Curry, J.M. Curry and Dan Curry.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Ann Curry of Tyler; son, Guy David Curry of Tyler; brother, John L. Curry and wife Neta of Lindale; sisters, Mima Lea Curry of Lindale and Rachel Wood of Lindale; sisters-in-law, Laurette Curry and Marlen Curry, both of Tyler; and long time friend, Delbert Miller.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
