Mary, the daughter of Sylvester Baldwin Jr. and Sarah Bryan was baptized on 19 February 1625/6 at Aston Clinton, England. Mary was married twice. She married 1) Robert Plumb (alias Plume; Plum), son of John and Dorothy (Wood) Plumb on 9 January 1641/2 at Milford, New Haven, Connecticut Colony. They had six children born at Milford, Connecticut:
1. Mary Baldwin Plumb (b. 1644; d. 1680), m. 16 Jun 1668 at Milford, CT, Matthew Woodruff (1646-1691)
2. John Plumb (b. 1646; d. 1728), m. 24 Nov 1668 at Milford, CT, Elizabeth Norton (1645-1712)
3. Robert Plumb Jr. (b. 1648; d. 1703), m. 1685 at Milford, CT, Ruth Clark (1642-1709)
4. Samuel Plumb (b. 1650; d. 1651),
5. Samuel Plumb (b. 1653; d. 1692),
6. Joseph Plumb (b. 1655; d. 1745).
Robert Plumb died on 12 May 1655. Mary married 2) Sergeant William East on 16 March 1675 at Milford, Connecticut. There were no known children from this union.
Mary (Baldwin) Plumb-East died on 1 February 1708 in her 83rd year at Milford, Connecticut. She is presumed to be buried in the Milford Cemetery at Milford, New Haven, Connecticut.
NOTE: There are sources for various of these birth/baptism/death dates. In particular, there are two sources (Baldwin & Torrey) who list Mary (Baldwin) Plumb-East's death as 1 February 1708. The double years (e.g. 1641/42) suggest a change for Gregorian to Julian calendar.
