Marie (Monday, September 1st, 2008)
My Father had a smile on his face everyday. He would be sleeping, and I would wake him up and he would have this big grin on his face - always happy to be with his family. He was so easy going and loved to tell stories and jokes. I will miss hearing those stories. He was my friend and my biggest fan - always interested in every part of my life and what was going on. He said to me constantly, "I love you more than you will ever know." I was blessed to be loved by this man. I was always his "little girl." The legacy that my Father left behind was to be proud of your family, your heritage, be fair and respect people and - love your family.

Russ Herbert (Monday, September 1st, 2008)
My father-in-law was an inspiration to all who knew him. He lived a simple live with respect and integrity. His daughter and son meant everything to him. He was like a second father to me. I will miss him deeply.

Dave & Anna (Monday, September 1st, 2008)
No one could tell a story like your dad. Even if it was over and over :). It made him so happy to tell a story and have an audience. He always had a twinkle in his "Frank Sinatra" blue eyes. In all the years I knew him I never saw him mad. He was easy going and a very generous man. The thing I will remember most is how he loved his family and would do anything for them. I remember many times waiting for Marie in the living room of her home on Evergreen while she put on that last touch of hair spray and he would delight in telling stories about Marie and Johnny. He bragged about both of you ALWAYS. In the months and weeks to come I hope it will be of some comfort to know you were both loved completely and wonderfully by a proud Dad who told you over and over how much he loved you. We will be praying for all of you during the days ahead. We love you!! Dave & Anna

Marie,
I am so sorry for the loss of your dad. I remember when we were younger and going over to your house...your dad always had such an infectious smile and just loved being with people. It was quite evident the joy he had deep within and that same joy that just filled his life. You and your family are in my prayers. I love you dearly!
