Funeral services for Earl C. "Whizz" Gee Sr. 73 who died Sunday at the Little Traverse Division of Northern Michigan Hospitals, will be held at the Oak Chapel of the Vanderwall funeral Home at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Gerald Blevins of the First Presbyterian Church and the Rev. Philip Simmons of the United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill demetery.
Born in East Jordan June 23, 1908 Earl Cortland Gee attended the East Jordan schools. On April 27 1934 he was married to the former Marjorie Puckett at East Jordan where they always made their home. He was employed at the East Jordan Lumber Company and later was superintendet at the East Jordan Iron Works. He retired in 1970 after 40 years in the position. He was interested in carpentry, hunting and gardening. He also had strong family ties.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs William (Ruth) Tryon of Birch Run; four sons, Garey L."Buzz"(Noni) Gee Carl M. (Ruth) Gee and John E. all of East Jordan and Earl C. Jr. of Flint; 11 grandchildren; one great grandson; two sisters; Mrs. Evelyn (Frank) Neumann; Mrs Fern (James) Bennett and two brother;, Vale(Vera) "PeeWee" and Glen (Lillian) Gee all of East Jordan.
