He is also survived by one son, Raymond (wife, Jeni) Mason of Franklin; three daughters, Patty (husband, Rick) Meado of Jerseyville, Fran (husband, Max) Schnorf of Springfield and Dawn (husband, Luke) Rotherham of Frederick, Md.; seven grandchildren, Brent Meado, Brian Meado, Chrissy Meado, Ryan Mason, Riley Judd, Matthew Rotherham and Kennedy Rae Rotherham; one nephew, Michael Mason of Franklin; and two nieces, Diane Roegge of Jefferson City, Mo., and Cindy Roegge of Ashland, Ohio. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Edward Mason and Michael Mason.
Mr. Mason worked for nearly 50 years in the parts department of local auto dealerships, including Cox Buick and Viles Buick-Pontiac in Jacksonville, and Marshall Chevrolet in Winchester. He retired in 2007. Mr. Mason enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, playing horseshoes and his hot rod car.
Services were entrusted to Williamson Funeral Home of Jacksonville, Illinois.
