Stuart Joseph Aud, 21, Chicago, formerly of Equality, died Aug. 21, 2008, in Chicago.
He was born Nov. 11, 1986 in Harrisburg to David Marshall and Treva Sue Jones Aud.
Stuart worked as a hair stylist for the Vidal Sassoon salon at Water Tower Place in Chicago. He attended school in Gallatin County, graduating with the class of 2005, and later at the Aveda Institute in Chicago. He was a member of the Equality United Methodist Church.
Stuart was a very passionate person. His greatest passion was life itself. Stuart lived each day to the fullest. He had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, wisdom and new ideas, a rare gift in such a young person.
Stuart touched many lives in a short period of time. He left a lasting impression on everyone who was fortunate enough to have known him. Stuart will live on in the hearts of all of us that have had the privilege of calling him son, brother, grandson, great grandson, nephew, cousin and friend.
Stuart's greatest loves were his family, his friends, and his music. He was a gifted musician and could play virtually any instrument he wanted to. He loved all genres of music.
A lifelong resident of Equality, the confines of small town life couldn't contain him. Stuart attended school in Chicago and, following his graduation, recently began his new career there. A small town boy at heart, he was just beginning to conquer all the new challenges that living in Chicago offered.
Those of us that knew and loved him can take solace in the fact that he was happy and excited. Not often does someone come along radiating the kind of light that Stuart did. He accomplished so much in such a short time and sadly, his life was cut short before we were to see how much he was truly capable of. A young man of so many different talents and interests, it is safe to say that Heaven is a more interesting place with Stuart there. We love you. We will miss you. You will be with us always.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Bryant Aud of Equality; sister, Brooke Aud of Equality; paternal grandmother, Virginia Aud; maternal grandmother, Sue Jones; paternal great-grandmother, Emma Westbrook; uncle, John B. Jones, and cousins Breck, Briana, Brantlea and Brandon; uncle, Tracy Jones, and cousins Adam, Luke and Caleb; and uncle, Scott (Debbie) Aud, and cousin Justin. Also surviving is Jack, his faithful Labrador retriever.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, J. T. Aud; and his maternal grandfather, Earl Jones.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008, at Gallatin County High School in Junction with burial in Elmwood Cemetery in Equality. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Equality United Methodist Church. Earl Jones Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family's preferred type of remembrance is donations in Stuart's memory to the Equality Cardinal Park.
