Mrs. Louis Speltz, 81, Altura, died Friday night at St. Anne's Hospice, Winona, following an illness of several months.
The former Kate Schell, she was born Feb. 17, 1887, in Mount Vernon Township to John and Pauline Schell. She lived in this area all her life. She was married to Louis Speltz May 30, 1906, at Oak Ridge. He died Aug. 17, 1967.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and the Rosary Society.
Surviving are: A son, Stephen, Rock Island, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. Howard (Catherine) Anderson, Altura; nine grandchildren, a brother, Raymond, and two sisters, Miss Jessie Schell and Mrs. Frank Speltz, Minneiska. A brother and a sister have died.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, Oak Ridge, the Rev. Roy Literski officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends my call at the Rollingstone Funeral Home after 2 p.m. today. Rosaries will be said at 3 p.m. by the Legion of Mary; 8 p.m. by Rev. Literski and at 8:30 by Rosary Society.
