Texas Death Certificate No. 27620. White, male. He was the son of J.J. Mitchell & Retha Mae Sevier. They lived 6 miles east of Itasca off F.M. 934. There was a town there then called Iverson. At least there was a school. Alton got sick in August of 1927 and was taken to a doctor in Itasca. The record shows he died of streplicaucus infection of the throat. Retha Mae Mitchell said it was Diptheria. Alton died Aug 24, 1927 and was buried in Milford on Aug 25th. Records are from Retha Mae's Bible.
