Daisy M. Harrison, 69 of Shiprock, passed from this life Thursday, Aug. 28, 2008, in Shiprock. She was born Jan. 30, 1939, in Shiprock.
She was preceded in death by her son, Leo Jr.; grandson, Eddie Salcedo; parents, John and Mary Charley; sister, Lori Bowman; and by her brothers, Glen Charley, Jones Johnson and George Sandoval.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Leo Harrison; daughter, Lorinda and Randy Medicine Bear and family of Loveland, Colo.; daughter-in-law, Robin Harrison and family of Albuquerque; brother, Wallace Charley and family of Shiprock; brother, Dale Charley of Phoenix; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and many other adopted tribal family members throughout the United States.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 1, at Jimmie King Sr. Memorial Pow-wow Grounds at the Fair Grounds in Shiprock. Interment will follow at Shiprock Community Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Sky Medicine Bear, Joey Harrison, Curtis Hamilton-Young Bird, Adrian LeClare, Chad Avery, Cory LeClare, Zachary LeClare and Skylar Charley.
Honorary pallbearers are the Young Bird Singers, Long Walk Descendents Singers and Southern Outlaws Singers.
