Wife of Aubrey Lee Atkinson
Mrs. Vera V. Atkinson, 90, of Clarksville died Thursday, Nov. 19, 1998, at AMI St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.
She was a daughter of the late James and Nora Horn Hatchett, widow of Aubrey Atkinson, retired salesperson, member of the Church of Christ, Order of the Eastern Star, and Crape Myrtle Garden Club, and was preceded in death by one son, Dolan Atkinson, one brother, Pete Hatchett, and two sisters, Hazel Havener and Juanita Walker.
She is survived by one sister-in-law, Sible Hatchett of Clarksville; and several nieces and nephews including Linda Garland of Clarksville and Danny Wood of Tulsa, Okla.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with John Ballard and Vernon Bass officiating. Burial was in Minnow Creek Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Mike Bean, Greg Clinebell, Dennis Steele, Duane Steele, Denton Tumbleson, and Aubrey Thomas.
Honorary pallbearers were Argie Kendall, Stanley Brown, Elvin Brown, James Horn, Luther Hodge, and Norman Fortney.
