BARRE CITY - A Mass of Christian Burial was con-celebrated on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Monica Catholic Church in Barre for Mary A. Pletzer of North Barre Manor who passed away on July 27, 2008 at her home.

The principal celebrant was Rev. Leopold J. Bilodeau, Pastor of the church assisted by the Most Rev. Odore J. Gendron, retired Bishop Emeritus.

Crucifer, Robert Bates was altar server.

Organist, Angeline Ennis accompanied vocalists, Mary Patterson and Romeo Bilodeau, son-in-law, in the hymns, "Just A Closer Walk With Thee," "Precious Lord, Take My Hand," "Hail Mary, Gentle Woman," "Ave Maria" and "Let There Be Peace On Earth."

Scripture readings from the Old and New Testaments were read by Beverly Thygesen, daughter and Juli Ward, great-granddaughter.

Offertory gifts were presented at the altar by, Gavin Mugford, great-grandson; Josh Bilodeau, grandson; Gwen Pearl Mugford, great-granddaughter; white roses were also presented by Mary's grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bishop Gendron read the Gospel and led the Prayer of the Faithful.

Gloria Bilodeau, daughter, read a poem, "Heaven's Gate, Safely Home" and Beverly Thygesen, daughter, read a poem, "A Parable For Mothers."

Pallbearers were Tyler Bilodeau, Logan Gregoire, Cody Rickenburger, Corey Thygesen, Ryan Thygesen and Denny Hubbard, Jr., all great-grandsons.

A prayer service was held Monday afternoon at the Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home in Barre and was led by Father Bilodeau.

Interment followed the Mass in the Wilson Cemetery in Lower Websterville, where Father Bilodeau offered Committal Prayers.

Following the interment a fellowship luncheon was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Barre Town.
