Oct. 7, 1814-Nov. 11, 1888); Arad Melvin (May 3, 1817-Oct. 10, 1835); and Sally (May 23, 1822-July 22, 1822).
Hannah received the below letter from her parents, who were then living in Boxborough, Mass. The letter is dated Oct. 28, 1809.
Dear Hannah:
Are you well and is Mr. Fallass well, and are you both happy in the love of God? If so, let God have all the glory. We are all measurably well, blessed be God for the same.
I suppose you have received Joseph's letter, which gave an account of your grandmam's [Sarah, wife of Phineas Fairbanks, mother of Eunice Fairbanks and grandmother of Hannah] death. Jasper was married last August. Fetched his wife right home. We are all happy in the connection. We have given our consent to Arad Melvin to have Lois. We do not know when she will go away.
We know nothing but what Aunt Wetherbee is well. Your brother and sister join with us in sending their love to you all. We want very much to see you. Write to us as often as you can.
May the Lord bless you in this world, and give you a never failing crown of glory in the world to come.
