Death Claims Visalia Native
Mrs. Georgia B. Teague, a native of Visalia and a resident of the Exeter district for more than 43 years, died in her home at 2049 Marinette, Exeter Saturday.
She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Bacon and was educated in East Lynn School and Visalia High School.
Mrs. Teague was married to the late Jesse Teague Sept. 11 1901, and they made their home in the Exeter area where they ranched. He preceded her in death Sept. 2, 1945. A son, Beryl Teague, died in February of 1937.
Following her husband's death, Mrs. Teague continued to live on and operate the family ranch until her death. Survivors include four nieces, Mrs. Hazel Brown and Mrs. Iris Huntley, both of Visalia, Mrs. Madeland Kirkham of Ramona, and Mrs. Blanche Massey of Delano; two nephews, Buy Mathewson of Farmersville and Harry Dailey of Visalia, and several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Also surviving is a close friend, Daliph (Shorty) Singh, originally from India but for many years employed as a ranch foreman and companion of the Teagues.
Mrs. Teague was a member of the Neighbors of Woodcraft and the Exeter Woman's Club.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Hadley's Funeral Chapel in Exeter. The Rev. Noel Carden will officiate. Burial will be in the family plot in Exeter District Cemetery.
