PAYNE-Howard W. Payne, age 66, of 31 Virgil St., died Friday at 6 a.m. at Binghamton City Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ida M. Payne of Binghamton, two sons, Neil G. of Binghamton and Warner H. Payne of St. Louis, Mo; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Griffith of Greene and Mrs. LaVerne Gellett (sic) of Binghamton; one brother, Ralph Payne of Bainbridge; a sister Mrs. Esther Thompson of Santiago, Cal., and nine grandchildren. The body was removed to the George H. Scholderer Home of Funerals, 269 Chenango St., where the funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Condit N.. Eddy will officiate. Internment will be in Bainbridge Cemetery, Bainbridge, NY. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today and Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
