BECKETT Geneva Beckett, age 92, of Grove City, died peacefully Tuesday, August 26, 2008, at the Monterey Care Center following a brief illness. She was born in West Carrollton, Ohio, on March 12, 1916. Geneva retired as a Technical Assistant for the Ohio Bell Telephone Company following a career that spanned forty years with the communications provider. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Grove City. Survivors include her long time friend, Helen Mesko of Grove City; godchild, Barbara Calabrese of Maitland, Florida; and many other life-long friends. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, September 4, 2008 in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain, Ohio. The family encourages memorial contributions to the Mount Carmel Hospice Service, 1144 Dublin Road, Columbus, OH 43215. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the GLUVNA-SHIMO-HROMADA FUNERAL CHAPEL of Lorain, OH. www.gluvna.net.
