"Miss Ora" never married and lived in Sardis, at 114 McLaurin Street most of her childhood and all of her adult life. Along with her mother, she helped rear the six orphaned children of her Uncle, Dave Low, following his death in 1930. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Sardis. She taught piano for a living and was the "main" pianist at the church for over forty years. She was dearly loved by her students and family.
