Jessica A. Jackman, 22, passed away August 27, 2008 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident several days earlier.

She is survived by her parents, Kenneth and Patricia (Balser) Jackman; two brothers, Kenny Jackman Jr. and Nick Jackman all of Sutton; her maternal grandparents, Raymond and E. Carol ( Beahn) Balser of Grafton; her paternal grandparents, Walter and Sandra (Shannon) Jackman of Millbury; her Godparents, Jimmy Jackman and Diane Fleming; many aunts, uncles, cousins and her loving dog Simba. Jessica was born July 15, 1986 in Worcester, raised in North Grafton and has lived in Sutton for several years.

Jess is a 2004 graduate of Grafton High School where she was a National Honor Society student, captain of the softball and cheerleading teams, a member of the Family and Community Leaders Group and active in many other school functions. She continued her education at Becker College earning her associate's degree in Physical therapy with high honors in 2006, and then her bachelor's degree cum laude in kinesiology this year. She worked as a physical therapist at Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital in Westborough. Jess' interests and enjoyments in life included being with her many friends, competing in tractor pulls with her dad's John Deere, snowmobiling, snowboarding, wake boarding, country music, going to the beach, boating, fishing and she was a loyal Boston Red Sox and New England Patriot fan.

Jess' family asks that you make donations to The Jessica Jackman Scholarship Fund, c/o Grafton Suburban Credit Union, 86 Worcester St., North Grafton, 01536 rather than sending flowers to help students in their efforts to further their educations as she did.

Funeral Details:

All are invited to calling hours Monday September 1st from 4 to 8 p.m in Roney Funeral Home North Chapel, 152 Worcester St. in North Grafton. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Jess Tuesday September 2nd at 10:30 am in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 17 Waterville St. in North Grafton. All attending services on Tuesday are respectfully requested to go directly to St. Mary's Church. She will then be laid to rest in Pine Grove Cemetery.
