Zona Irene Jones
Zona Irene Jones, 77, of 5300 Hall Ave., died Tuesday June 11, 1996.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St.
Mrs. Jones was born in Taloga, Okla., and had lived in Amarillo for 14 years. She married France Jones in 1937. She played the piano for her church in Odessa. She was a homemaker and a member of Paramount Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, a brother, six grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

Zona was an outstanding homemaker, talented in interior decorating, crafts such as crocheting, knitting, sewing, china painting, and fabrication of holiday decorations, as well as an exceptional cook. She was a lifelong Bible student. Zona and France were very active in a Baptist Church in each community, and Zona was a pianist, organist, and Sunday school teacher. After her children were grown she worked part-time at several businesses.
