Another Pioneer Gone
Mrs. Mary M. Kelley, wife of Ex-Auditor W.B. Kelley, one of Washington's eldest pioneers, died at her home yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock. The burial services will take place at 11 o'clock Sunday, July 22, at the Sumner cemetery.

Mary M. Kelley
Mary M. Kelley, wife of ex-Auditor Capt. Wm. B. Kelley, died at her home at Kelley's, three miles east of here Friday last at 6 p.m., after a long spell of sickness. She was born February 28, 1843, in Jefferson county Illinois, married at Spring Garden in the same state in 1862, started for Washington territory in the spring of '64, arriving in Pierce county in the fall of the same year, being nine months on the way; settled shortly afterward on the present homestead. She leaves a husband and four children, three sons and one daughter, the youngest being thirteen years old. Mrs. Kelley was the oldest sister of C.E., W.A., J.A. and C.E. [sic] Williams, Mrs. F. J. McGreggor, Mrs. Kate Cole and Mrs. Alice Harvill, all of Washington. The burial services conducted by the Rev. W. W. Gray took place at the Sumner cemetery Sunday morning at 11: o'clock. The funeral was largely attended.
