This gentleman, the first of the Balthasar Romberger-s in the United States, made the crossing from Germany to the United States with his father, Johann Bartholomus Romberger also known as John Bartholomus Romberger. Balthasar's mother was Anna Maria Brückner.

There are sources of his birthdate that conflict; his birth is often rendered as 1745-1747.

Like his father, Balthasar was once widowed, and thus had two wives. The first was Anna Maria Traut(t) Romberger, whom he married about 1770. She was born 1753, and died before 1797 in Mifflin Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. Balthasar and Anna Maria Traut(t) Romberger had children:

Anna Maria Romberger, born in Lancaster County on June 12, 1771, died in Dauphin County March 18, 1866

Heinrich Romberger, born in New Holland, Lancaster County, July 12, 1773, died before January 31, 1822

Adam Romberger, born in New Holland, Lancaster County, June 3, 1775, died in Pillow aka Uniontown in Dauphin County on August 17, 1868

Anna Catharina Romberger, born in New Holland, Lancaster County, March 19, 1777, and died in Wiconsico, Dauphin County, PA on July 3, 1851

Balthasar Romberger (the younger) born in New Holland, Lancaster County, December 28, 1878, died in Mifflin Township, Dauphin County on June 16, 1839.

Johannes Romberger, born in Lancaster County on November 29, 1783, died in Porter Township, Dauphin County, in 1840.

After the loss of his first wife, on June 15, 1798 in Harrisburg, Balthasar married his second wife, Susannah Lehman. She was born about 1770 and bore him Susanna, Samuel, Jacob, Salome and Jacob B.

In September of 2013, I tripped across valuable information about this Balthaser/Balthasar which will change a lot of dates for this man. The info will be added in due time, but for now we must thank his grandson for leading us to him.
