January 11 1969 Obituary - Funeral services were held here Thursday from Hope Reformed church, of which she was a charter member for Mrs. Dena Snuttjer, 98, who died Tuesday at a Worthington, Minn., nursing home. The Rev. R.D. Denekas offficiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Snuttjer was born April 11, 1870, at Ackley, the daughter of Simon and Hiska Peters. She and Harm Snuttjer were married there Feb 4 1891.
They moved into George in 1925 and after the death of her husband in 1942 she made her home with a daughter at Worthington until entering the Fauskee nursing home in 1967.
She is survive ed by one son, Onna, H. George; three daughters, Mrs. Constant DeClercq (Hazel), Milbank, SD; Mrs. W.H. Partridge (Angeline), Worthington and Mrs. Lewis Steever (Anna), Brookings, SD, 19 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, three grandchildren, three brothers and three sisters.
