Wanda Ramsey Rumfield was the daughter of J.D.Ramsey and Johnnie Lucille Richardson. She married Michael Rumfield, Sr., on June 5, 1971 in Wheelock, Robertson Co.,Texas. They had one son, Michael Rumfield, Jr.
Obituary - Wanda Jean Rumfield, 54, of Edge, Texas, passed away Friday morning at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 30, 2008 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan with Reverend Dale Wells officiating. Burial will be at New Church Cemetery in Edge. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
She was born in Bremond, Texas on June 29, 1953, to J.D. and Johnnie Richardson Ramsey. She graduated from Franklin High School in Franklin, Texas and from Cosmetology School. She was a homemaker and worked as a hair stylist for over 30 years. She was a member of the Wheelock Baptist Church and was a wonderful grandmother, mother, wife, and friend. She lived in Edge for over 37 years.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, J.D. and Johnnie Ramsey; three brothers, Neal Byrd, Big Boy, and PeeWee Ramsey; one sister, Johnnie Younce; father-in-law, Ira Rumfield; and brother-in-law, Edward "Fuzzy" Rumfield.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Lynn Rumfield, of Edge; son and daughter-in-law, Duber and Tiffiany Rumfield, of Edge; grandchildren, Cody and Dylan Rumfield, of Edge; brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Madelyn Ramsey, of Wheelock, Texas; sister-in-law and husband, Carolyn and Kenneth Barrnett, of Donie, Texas; mother-in-law, Mildred Rumfield, of Edge; numerous nieces and nephews; and all the kids who visited and stayed awhile.
Pallbearers will be Gene Richardson, Jimmy Richardson, Junior Davila, Damon Burlin, Steve Milburn, and Lane Rutledge.
