Bill Inman, Sr.

William H. "Bill" Inman Sr., 93, of Waycross died Wednesday evening (August 27, 2008) at Baptist Village after a lengthy illness. He was born in Ware County to the late James L. and Molly Hinson Inman. Mr. Inman attended the University of Georgia and was an Agent with GA Farm Bureau Insurance. He was the former owner of the Waycross Livestock Market and served 16 years as Clerk of Superior Court in Ware County.

Mr. Inman was a member of the Waycross Exchange Club, Waycross Shrine Club, Waycross Masonic Lodge #305 F & AM, an Ambassador of the Hasan Temple, Satilla Livestock Association, Georgia Stockyard Association and received the Liberty Bell Award. He was also a member of New Prospect United Methodist Church where he formerly served as Sunday School Superintendent and was a former Treasurer of the Waycross District of the United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Inman was preceded in death by his first wife, Christine R. Inman and one son, Jay Inman, one brother, Roy Inman, two sisters, Vera Henderson and Aline Cornelius.

Survivors include his wife, Nell B. Inman, one son, Bill Inman, Jr. and his wife Linda, Fernandina Beach, FL, one daughter, Cindy Coppage and her husband Dan, Waycross, two grandchildren, Leigh Macdonald and her husband Brian, Miami, FL, Ben Coppage, Macon, two great-grandchildren, Jake and Morgan Macdonald, several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 pm at New Prospect United Methodist Church in Manor. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Masonic Rites by Waycross Masonic Lodge #305 F & AM.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8 pm at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to New Prospect United Methodist Church, 2060 Manor-Millwood Rd., Manor, GA 31550 or Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Pt. Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
