After a painful illness of two weeks duration, Mr. Parry Stewart lapsed into the peaceful and eternal sleep on Tuesday, September 24 at one o'clock.

Minden bows her held in deepest grief at the passing of Mr. Stewart who was in the full flush of manhood; he was a useful christian citizen, a devoted husband and father and the loss caused by his passing is irreparable.

Mr. Stewart had reached the age of 37 and leaves a devoted wife and one son, Parry Jr., four brothers; Sidney Stewart of Calhoun, James Stewart of Webster, Graham and David Stewart of Minden, two sisters; Mrs. J.G. Pope of Selma and Mrs. Lawson Davis of Minden and influential relatives.

The funeral services will be conducted by Rev. W.C. Childress, pastor of the First Methodist Church at Homer, from the family home in East and West Street this afternoon, (Wednesday) at three o'clock, with interment at the City Cemetery.
