RUTH COPE, 91, of Benton, KY passed away at 4:40AM Monday, June 24, 2013 at Lake Way Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church and formerly worked as a clerk at Rodney's IGA Grocery Store.
She is survived by her son, Lynn Cope and wife Donna of Benton, KY; five grandchildren, Jerilyn Lampkins of Benton, KY; Laura Pea of Benton, KY; Jeff Cope of Benton, KY; Tina Cook of Murray, KY and Denny Cope of Benton, KY; six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Solon Ray Cope; one son, Jerry Ray Cope; one grandchild, three brothers and two sisters. Her parents were Ed Burkhart and Laura Ollie Roach Burkhart.

Services: Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home. Rev. Joe Daryl Thorn will officiater and burial will follow in the Oak Level Cemetery.
