PERRYVILLE, Mo. — Ruth A. Versheldon, 92, of Perryville died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008, at Perry Oaks Manor in Perryville.
She was born Sept. 20, 1915, in Perry County, Mo., daughter of August and Amelia Buerck Zoellner. She and William J. Versheldon Sr. were married March 17, 1933. He died Feb. 6, 2003.

Versheldon worked at International Shoe Co, and was also employed at the A&P Grocery and the BiRite Grocery store in Perryville. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville and the Daughters of Isabella.

Survivors include a sister, Virginia VanDoren of St. Louis; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, four brothers and six sisters.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at 6:30 to 9:20 a.m. Thursday at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville, Parish wake with the Daughters of Isabella at 5 p.m. today. The rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Funeral Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
