Mrs. Ada Sweet Crites, wife of Clarence Crites of Claremont Twp., passed away at Olney Sanitarium this morning, August 29, 1944.

She was the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Von Almen) Madden.

Besides her husband, she leaves eleven children, Harry Crites of Bloomington, IN, Mrs. Lela Gardner of Olney, IL, Mrs. Lucy Craig of Sumner, IL, Charlie Crites of Claremont, IL, Carl Crites of Olney,IL, Miss Innes Crites of Olney, IL, Joy Crites Crites of Charleston, IL, Noble Crites of Bridgeport, IL, Lee Crites of the U.S. Army, Miss Juanita Crites of Olney, IL, and Mrs. Josephine Harmon of Olney, IL. William, Thomas and Charles Madden of Claremont, IL are brothers. Mrs. Elizabeth Steuber of Claremont, IL, Mrs. Anna Groff and Miss Lydia Madden of Olney, IL are sisters. There are 17 grandchildren, one of whom is in the U.S. Army overseas.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at Eureka Church of Christ, south of Claremont, with Bro. Boyll, assisted by Bro. Lyle Berry in charge. Interment at the Eureka Cemetery, nearby. The body will lie in state at the Schaub Funeral Home until noon Wednesday when it will be taken to the residence, south of Claremont.
