Mrs. Ida Sofia Anderson, born in Ljuder, Kroneborgs lan, Smaland, Sweden, June 4, 1862, came to America in 1879 and to Chisago City in 1895. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Sweden. She became a member of the ion Lutheran Church, Chisago City, Minnesota, July 29, 1906 and he been a member her since that time. She was married to Mr. John Anderson on June 15, 1889 and to this union were born six children. One of the children, Alvin, preceded her in death having passed into internet on March 12, 1907. Mr. Anderson departed this life on February 6, 1933.

These later years Mrs. Anderson has spent with her children, but towards the last was confined to her bed at the Swedish Hospital in Minneapolis. She was always happy to have her pastor call and minister to her spiritual needs. Dr. W. P. Christy, Pastor in Minneapolis, faithfully called on her also many times during her illness. Mrs. Anderson placed her trust and faith in Christ alone as her Savior. She had nothing of herself on which to rely, and thus cast herself completely on the love and mercy of God. She continued to look to the Lord as her guide and strength. Seh quietly passed on to be with her Lord on Wednesday, September 15, 1943 at the age of 81 years, 3 months and 11 days. The cause of her death was Hypostatic Broncho Pneumonia. She is survived by her daughter, mrs. Harry Johnson of St. Paul, four sons; Reuben W. Anderson, Helmer d. Anderson, Roy F. Anderson, and Hjalmar E. Anderson of Minneapolis, one brother, Swen Carlson of Chisago city, nineteen grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday evening, September 17th at 8 p.m. at Welander-Quist Funeral Parlors, 2301 DuPont Ave. S., Minneapolis with Dr. W. P. Christy officiating; and at Chisago City, Minnesota at the Zion Lutheran Church on Saturday September 18th at 1 p.m. with Pastor E. H. Barker officiating. Mrs. Arthur W. Peterson brought messages in song. Interment was made at the jWest Green Lake Cemetery Chisago City. Peace be to the memory of the departed one, and God's comfort to the sorrowing and bereaved.
