The deceased was born on a farm one mile southeast of Summerhill and 34 yearsago moved to the town where he passed away. For many years he was engased in the lumbering and coal mining business, having operated two mines near Summerhil. He was at one time in partnership with the Hon J.C Stineman of South fork . For the past 15years he was engaged pricipally in the meat and store business and operated the company store at Ehrenfeld, now known as the webster Store for 5 years. he also operated the stores at South Fork and Dunlo in connection with his estabishment at Summerhill.
Last summer he sold his meat interest to his two sons, Charles O and Elmer F. Mr Dimond held many position of Trust in his home town and was postmaster at Summerhill under Cleveland's first sdministration.
The deceased was married in 1870 to Melinda Cullen of Wilmore, by whom he is survived with five childrn as follows: Minnie M; Elmr F; Charles O; Cecelia and Verta. Two children , Arthur I and Blanche are dead. he is also survived by two brothers, Stephen and Michael of Summerhill and one sister, Mrs. Frank McClaren of South Fork.
The remains were taken form Summerhill to Wilmore Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock where solemn requiem mass was said by the Rev. Father McHugh of Pittsburg, Egan of Wilmore and Graven of Ehrenfeld at 9:30 o'clock A.M. Interment was made in the catholic Cemetery at Wilmore
