Elvis Perry Short, 75, a native of Marshall County, died at 1 p.m. Sunday at his home, 319 Locust Drive.
Mr. Short was a former employee of Kirchhoff Bakery, having worked there 11 years, before retiring.
He was a member of Holiness Church at Oak Level.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Margaret Short; two sons, Joe B. Short of Mayfield Rt, 5 and Hurtis Short of Paducah Rt. 8; a daughter, Mrs. Lennie Langston of Mayfield Rt. 5; a sister, Mrs. Euva Lawson of Hickory Rt. 2;
23 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Oak Level Methodist Church with Welton Keeling officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Ballbearers will be Danny Pierce, James Edwards, James Donaldson, Bill Scarbrough, Jack Branon and Larry Short.
Friends may call at the family residence.
