William was the son of John and Margaret Ann ?? Little and was born the 25 Nov 1857 in Lawrence County, Alabama. He was the 10th of 12 children.

He married Mary Elizabeth (Mollie) Alexander (born 8 Nov 1862), daughter of Samuel Cunningham and Frances (Sheffield) Alexander, on 23 Nov 1876.

Mollie's father Samuel married her sister-in-law Sarah Elizabeth in his later years.

Tom and Mollie moved their family west early in the year 1893, settling in the area of Gilliam , Louisiana. They later lived in Cass County,Texas.

Tom's sister Hilly and her husband, Billy Hall settled in Cass County in the area where McLeod now stands. His brother called Tilley and his wife Mollie also settled in Cass County.

For many years , members of these families held annual reunions at the house of the Halls in McLeod. There were pictures made of the large clan.

Tom Little loved coon hunting and always kept dogs trained for such.

The family lived in Bossier Parrish , Louisiana when Tom died 18 April 1918. Red River was very high and difficult to cross at this time, however he was brought across and buried in Good Exchange Cemetery in Cass County, Texas. Tom was a Woodsman of the World and his tombstone is the traditional log so signifying.
