Joseph C. McVay, 75, of 3385 Rock Springs Road, Ringgold, Virginia, died Tuesday, August 12, 2008, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born May 4, 1933, in Pike County, Alabama, he was the son of the late Roy McVay and Marie Cox McVay. He was married to Agnes P. McVay, who survives.
Mr. McVay was a veteran of the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He retired in 1969 from the US Navy. He then moved to Danville where he later retired as a maintenance supervisor with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. He was of the Baptist faith.
