Jim and Mollie were farmers and the parents of five children: Archie Karl, Laura Augusta, Lazelle Bennett, Furman James and Lena Tatia McLeod. Laura died as a toddler in 1889.
The James Terry McLeod house still exists and is owned by the Price Richardson Hunt Club. It sits at the intersection of Sandhills Game Management Road (aka Gibson Mill Road) and Beaverdam Church Road.
