Lurah "Babe" Cundiff, 91, of East Bank died April 10, 2001, at Montgomery General Hospital after a long illness. She was a former employee of G.C. Murphy's in Montgomery and lived most of her life in East Bank. She was preceded in death by husband, Clarence Cundiff; daughters, Alma Spaulding and Ruth Cundiff; and son, Earl Cundiff. Survivors: daughters, Joyce Childress of Orlando, Fla., Shirley Macleery of East Bank and Helen Kelley of Oak Hill; sons, Harold Cundiff of Warren, Ohio, and Tom Cundiff of East Bank; sister, Ethel McKay of Charleston; brother, Thomas Kirk of Huntington; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday 7 to 9 p.m. at Pryor Funeral Home, East Bank. Service will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 13, at Montgomery Memorial Park Chapel, London. Interment will be in Montgomery Memorial Park, London.
