Services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church in Twiggs County. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Elders Sammy Bryant, Franklin Bryant and Rupert Nobles will officiate.
Mr. Howell, a lifelong resident of Bleckley County, was a member of Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby C. Howell of Danville; three sons, Jeremiah Howell of Cochran, Kirby C.Howell of Macon and Kenneth A. Howell of Danville; two daughters, Janice H. Lamb and Karene H. Darsey, both of Danville; and nine grandchildren.
Fisher Funeral Home of Cochran has charge of arrangements.
