Lon B. Faulkner, 79, retired Chickasaw County farmer of the Atlanta community, died at 11:55 pm, Friday, Oct. 29, at the Vardaman Clinic.
Funeral services were conducted from the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Albert Gore officiating. Interment was in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Memorial Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were grandsons, Billy, Robert L., Rail, J. Hugh and Marshall Faulkner, Jesse Frank Sims, Dan Curtis Sims and J. C. Herrod.
Mr. Faulkner was born in Chickasaw County May 10, 1886, the son of Kitt Faulkner and Alice Jennings Faulkner. He was a Baptist.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Lila Hill Faulkner of Atlanta; two daughters, Flora Mae Heair of Houston and Rowenna Sims of Pheba; two brothers, Vollie Faulkner of Indianola and Grady Faulkner of Isola; a sister, Mrs. Carrie Springer of Eupora and 12 grandchildren.
