My mother Eunice was a very fine Christian Lady, a wife, mother and a Gentle, Kind, Loving person. I count it as a blessing to have had her as my mother. After they were married, she and daddy Arthur went to Illinois and worked on a farm for 2 or 3 years, saved their money and came back to Adonis, MO in Polk county and built their home. Later in 1942 they sold it and bought a farm from Charley Hamlett, 5 miles SW of Humansville, MO where they lived until daddy passed away in 1971. It was called Oak Dale Farm. They both worked hard and in 1 1/2 yrs they had it paid off.
